  1. In a bowl take all the ingredients of dough,mix it and knead a semi-stiff dough and keep it aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan,add asfoetida,chopped green chilli and chopped onion and stir it for 1 minute.
  3. Now add boiled potato,all dry spices and salt and mix it nicely.
  4. Finally add chopped coriander leaves,switch off the flame and stuffing is ready.
  5. Now take lemon sized ball from dough, flatten it and stuff the potato stuffing in between and seal it nicely.
  6. Slightly flatten the stuffed balls like small puri with the help of palm.
  7. Heat oil in a pan and fry all the potato rotes on low flame for crispyness.
  8. Potato Rote is ready to serve with tomato sauce or any dip of your choice.
